![]() While playing video games (Punch-Out!! on the Nintendo Wii) he gets sucked into Videoland, or rather, to a place that is quite familliar. It would be a total reboot of the series, in the style of Lost, but more lighthearted.īasically, Kevin is a regular guy who happens to be very good in swimming and stuff, hence the N on his jacket (like in the original series). I once had this concept for a fan project myself. "i'm like the pimpmaster hustledaddy of all snippy bookshrews" None of the sides are especially portrayed as wrong or right.Īlso, you know how Kingdom Hearts basically turned Mickey Mouse into Yoda? That's what this series does to Mario and Sonic.Įdited 10th Oct '12 5:38:27 PM by SuperGex The presentations of the characters would be much more accurate and humanlike. The series blends cheesy Saturday morning cartoon-style humor with darker subtext and events. PC games would be represented as a massive threat that requires the efforts of all the nations to tranquilize. Unique Game Masters are introduced for each console. Pastiches of Sony, Hudson Soft, Atari, and Microsoft appear with their respective flagship characters. Say-gah collapses, and its denizens become nomads. Over time, the series escalates and mirrors the real-world console wars. Jason also finds a rival in the form of Spike, Say-gah's own game master based after the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. Rool, King Dedede, and Sigma) and Say-ganians (such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Vectorman) alike. ![]() Together, they must battle both Nintendo villains (such as King K. ![]() They are assisted by Game Boy, who has been upgraded to be much more competent and colorful, if you will. Joining him are the lovable ape Donkey Kong, his nephew Diddy Kong, Megaman's successor Megaman X, the brash futuristic racer Captain Falcon, and the childlike puffball Kirby. Meanwhile, Jason is trained to be the new Game Master, based after the SNES. While Kevin scrambles to look for his family, Lana is captured by Say-ganians, who she tries to convince to resort to nonviolent methods to get what they want. The three are separated, Jason going to the Nintendo kingdom's throne room, Lana being stranded in Say-gah territory, and Kevin being dropped in the middle of a battle and given some weapons. The Power Glove tracks Kevin down in the real world and attempts to summon him, but summons Lana and their son Jason, now a preteen, as well. Most of the Nintendians remain loyal to their nation, while others (third party/multiplatform) become nomads, going wherever they will have the most luck. The Nintendians immediately attack, leading to a war, which continues for a few years. ![]() Some years after Kevin and Lana's leave, Videoland is invaded by another nation separate from Nintendo's kingdom, the kingdom of Say-gah. Kevin and Lana gradually fall in love, grow up, and have a son. She ends up going with Kevin back to the real world when Mother Brain and her allies are defeated. If the original series were allowed to continue, one major event would happen for it to fit in this canon Princess Lana turns out to be an immigrant to Videoland, like Kevin, albeit with amnesia upon her arrival, which led to the king adopting her as his own. I also would like to apologize for any inaccuracies, since I've never actually watched the series. Anyone who wants to is welcome, as long as credit is given where it is due. Okay, before I start, I just want to say that this is just a concept, and I don't currently plan to follow through with it. ![]()
