![]() I have a friend who has the same exact disability as Will and he runs a national organization! It's ironic that the reviewer noted that Will does not have real voice in this movie but doesn't speculate on the fact that this is a movie about Will, as a main character. I would never let my daughter see a film that basically is a snuff film of a disabled person. ![]() How many more movies do people with disabilities have to endure about what a pitiful lot it is to be disabled? How more more movies do the disabled have to sit through about how it is better to be dead than disabled? How many times will reviewers say " it is just one person's story" when there has rarely been an authentic movie about people with disabilities? This rationale would never be accepted for other oppressed groups. I am pretty furious at the excellent review given to this book and movie by Commonsense Media. Sometimes nothing can change the way you want to live or not live. And that every person has his own story that has made him the person who stands before you. And when these two worlds collide, they gradually merge into one short adventure, full of different emotions, joy, anger, fear, laughter, and a pinch of love.Īnd last but not least, the book gives us a different perspective to look at the different points of view of the main characters. When the story begins, everybody thinks "another love story with a happy ending." Instead, Jojo Moyes breaks down the notions of romantic novels by introducing a totally different story to two youngsters, one boiling for life, and the other unobtrusive ready to turn the most sunny landscape into a dark, gray picture. The good thing in this book is the unexpected end. But unfortunately for his family and Louisa, he does not change his mind about what he has to do with his life. And day after day she seem to brings a sunny days for him. However gradually things between them happen to be more friendly. Louisa and Will's relationship starts not so good ,because of his bitterness and despair over being disabled. Louisa doesn't have any experience in this work area, but his mother thinks that she may help for brighten his spirit. Will has always lived on the edge, extreme sports, worldwide travel-and now he’s pretty sure he cannot live the way he does now. ![]() Desperate for finding a job ,she goes to the Job centre ,where after several failed interviews, she ends up working for a successful, wealthy, and once-active young man Will Traynor, but now he is wheelchair-boundafter an motorcycle accident.
